I'm convinced
I've been digging for awhile now and this definitely matches photos of other Oncometopia species. I see two species O. nigricans and O. orbona = undata(1) that look identical in photos. It is noteworthy that the NCSU insect collection lists far more orbona and only that species from NC. I'd say this is probably O. orbona.
